SCJ Studio Landscape Architecture
In Seattle's Fremont neighborhood SCJ Studio designed a new landscape to surround and set off a contemporary home by Coates Design Architects. The narrow spaces around the tall home needed structure and organization, and a thoughtful approach to layout and space programming. A concrete patio was installed with a Paloform Bento gas fire feature surrounded by lush, northwest planting. A horizontal board cedar fence provides privacy from the street and creates the cozy feeling of an outdoor room among the trees. LED low-voltage lighting by Kichler Lighting adds night-time warmth .

Pathways paved with crushed stone meander through this incredible space. We planted drought tolerant perennials; nepeta, euphorbia, pittosporum tobira wheelers dwarf, dymondia and lavender. Olive trees and Oaks surround this lovely garden.

A shady front yard paver patio in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle under a large Sequoia tree. Corten steel planters with Creeping Jenny and Carex spilling over. The steel gas firepit brings warmth to the seating area wrapped by a cedar built-in bench.

Overhaul of a large family garden with a contemporary feel - spacious and simple, keeping the space for kids to play sports, trampoline and use their styled playhouse. But with areas extending from the house for adult/family entertaining. A firepit, outdoor "bar area", feature dining area and floating bench with weather proof fabrics. Low maintenance materials - Millboard decking, artificial grass, painted trellis and powder coated pendant light supports, in a cohesive pallet of colours.

This contemporary London garden scheme was designed by Simon Thomas and built by Landscaping Solutions. The design comprises horizontal timber batten screening mounted with up and down lights. There is a central fireplace which also has storage space to the rear. The paving and steps are sawn sandstone incorporating LED strip lights beneath the step treads. The raised planters are painted white and planted out with Box hedging. The rest of the planting comprises Irises, Stipa grasses and Fennel.
SYNLawn
This contemporary outdoor space in the Bay Area is absolutely stunning! With designated spots for eating, relaxing and barbecuing, there's still enough room for some green space to run around on our SYNLawn artificial grass. It creates some visual interest by creating some stripes out of our turf. © SYNLawn artificial grass - all rights reserved.

This view of the Zen backyard shows the patio in reference to the swimming pool and the outdoor dining table. You can see there is a good amount of artificial grass in this picture. The travertine looks nice against the green of the turf. This backyard offers three sitting areas: the patio area, the dining area, and the cement benches on the far side of the yard around the fire pit.

In this project, we matched the existing roof line to blend the new addition seamlessly. The screened porch provides these homeowners with a year-round view of their wooded landscape . A flagstone patio and EPI deck with wrought iron railing creates several distinct spaces for outdoor dining and entertaining.
