Have you had any heat issues with the tv this close to the fireplace?

- We just installed our tv over the Montigo fireplace and I'm a bit worried about how much heat it puts out. I may have my metal fabricator add a few inches to the mantel. We also have a stone surround, then the rest of the upper is acid washed steel w/a steel shallow ledge. Thank you.

    Hi sanctuaryhome, no - we have had no issues with heat. First - there is about 16-18" from the top of the fireplace to the t.v. Second the t.v. has a near zero clearance from the face of the cabinetry. Third the small mantle that steps out a few inches provides a simple barrier. Fourth, the unit is equipped with thermostatic fans that blow heat out into the room, rather then letting it just radiate up. Hope that helps!
