Reworked Front Entryway: A first impression sets the tone for the overall experience, and that is precisely what we aimed to achieve with the front entryway. We reconfigured this area to make it more welcoming and functional, adding stylish yet practical elements that would make any guest feel instantly at home. By removing a large, outdated built-in console, we gave this space an instant refresh and created a more visually harmonious entryway. Completely Upgraded Kitchen: The heart of every home is the kitchen, and this luxury condo got the full treatment. We replaced the old cabinetry with new, contemporary flat front cabinets, and installed white quartz countertops that ooze elegance. The addition of a new white beauty quartz island provides ample space for meal prep or casual dining, while the custom tile backsplash adds a stunning visual element. As the cherry on top, we installed top-of-the-line appliances for the ultimate cooking experience. Open Floor Plan: To create a more open and inviting living space, we removed the wall between the morning room and dining room. This smart design move allowed natural light to flow through the entire space, making it feel even larger and more welcoming. By connecting these two areas visually and physically, we created the perfect setting for entertaining guests or enjoying a cozy night in. Master Bedroom Makeover: The master bedroom needed a breath of fresh air, and that's exactly what it got. We removed the dated carpeting and replaced it with new, elegant flooring that gives the room a more sophisticated and polished appearance. Master Bath Overhaul: A complete overhaul was in order for the master bathroom, and we went all out to create a spa-like oasis. My client asked for a warm, inviting 'beachy' scheme without feeling cliche. A layering of textures like rattan, driftwood, linen and soft metals create a cohesive, smart scheme with nods to the location. Neutral tones with accents of navy were carried throughout the property with a strong focus on mixed textures. Mixed layers of lighting were included to keep the spaces feeling soft and relaxing.

Your hallway or hall is the place you usually enter and exit the house, meaning it’s usually the place you want to load up or unload all your outdoor items – coats, jackets, umbrellas, hats, shoes, scarves, and often bags and keys, too. However, narrow hallways are common in a lot of UK and Irish properties so hallway storage can sometimes be hard to achieve. The type of beach style hallway storage ideas that would suit your home will always depend on the available space and flexibility you have in your space – if feasible, built-in storage like cupboards and under-stairs storage will really help, but if not, there’s hallway furniture, hooks, racks and rails that can come to the rescue. Where space permits, furniture that doubles as storage is a great idea. A hallway storage bench, such as a monks bench, is an ideal multi-functioning solution while console tables were made for narrow hallways and provide concealed storage for clutter and a handy surface for decorative items. While you might feel that slim spaces like hallways and landings are hard to decorate, there are actually plenty of nautical narrow hallway ideas that can bring life to your walls, floors and ceilings. Because of their layout, walls can be the best feature of a hallway and offer the perfect opportunity for wall art, though anything too elaborate may be wasted for lack of room to stand back and admire. Instead, a picture wall with a collection of framed photographs or prints can make a lovely feature, as can adding coastal wall decor such as clocks, hanging plants, prints or posters for decorative details that are easy to change. Hallway wallpaper is making a big comeback as it’s another way to add lots of character, colour and style to a small space like a hall or landing. Although coastal hallway furniture is often for storage purposes, it doesn’t have to be. Utilising hallway corners is a great way to add dimension and cosiness to your nautical hallway, and can make an unexpectedly welcoming area for relaxation. If yours is big enough, it can be furnished with seating such as a coastal hallway bench, armchair, rocking chair or beanbag; you could add a coastal small table, lamps, hallway storage boxes, ottoman or bookcase (or all of the above!) to create a comfortable nook for reading, listening to music, or just passing the time.

Coastal Landing furniture ideas

The landing at the top of your staircase is too often a neglected but can provide valuable, flexible, additional space. The golden rule of furnishing landings is to ensure stairways aren’t impeded, but even with limited floor space this is an area that affords ample opportunity for furniture and design. Some beach style landings may have enough room for furniture such as seating or bookshelves to create a quiet reading area, or a desk and shelving to provide a makeshift work space. Even if your landing is on the smaller side, use coastal landing ideas such as a small coastal hall table or stool accessorised with a table lamp, an antique bowl or flowers, which will add interest. A beautiful window seat can be the prize feature of a house, so if you have a bay window on your landing it seems a crying shame not to make the most of it. For a built-in option, seating with added storage can be installed under the window; alternatively, simply placing a coastal bench, miniature sofa or chaise longue in the window will add charm to your landing.
