A large mirror previously tucked into a closet is now reflecting light into the room while accenting an owner refurbished buffet.
Making Room for PeaceFor the painted brick wall, we decided to keep the decor fairly natural with pops of color via the plants and texture via the woven elements. Having the T.V. on the mantel place wasn’t ideal but it was practical. As mentioned, this is the where the family gathers to read, watch T.V. and to live life. The T.V. had to stay. Ideally, we had hoped to offset the T.V. a bit from the fireplace instead of having it directly above it but again functionality ruled over aesthetic as the cables only went so far. We made up for it by creating visual interest through Rebecca’s unique collection of pieces.

Cet élément architectural qui peut se trouver dedans comme dehors en fonction des projets, permet d'imaginer un espace suspendu conçu autour de valeurs de la robustesse et du design. CSW Studio Interior DesignThis client just moved in to a one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn.
Her goal was to create a functional space where she can work on her laptop and also have storage for her goods and books.
We were able to provide a simple yet, functional custom built in for her and make her bedroom a space that is more inviting and sophisticated.
Making Room for PeaceWhen you first walk into the Hurt’s home one of the first rooms that you see is straight ahead, the den. A small room, right off the kitchen and the sunroom the den is the gathering space for the family. Between the deep leather sofa and the cozy swivel chairs, there is a place for everyone to rest and to recline (including their 60 lb. puppy, Bacon!). The streams of sunlight that fill the space during the day along with the cheerful pops of color found in the oriental rug, bring a cheerfulness to the space while the calming sea-foam color on the walls help to ground it and provide a sense of peace.
RJM Design and Staging SolutionsWe update the look of the room by painting the red brick fireplace with white paint. The mantle was painted with a high gloss finish. We gave the barn boards a more finished appearance by adding strips of lathe at the seam of each board.
