A teenager's bedroom

A beautiful hotel-inspired master bedroom featuring a large soft blue fabric panelled headboard, flanked by elegant bronze mirrors. Leather bedside tables are paired with smoked blue glass lamps, while stylish designer cushions introduce pattern and movement. The soothing palette of soft, comforting colours creates a serene, calm and relaxing atmosphere... perfect for unwinding and relishing the enjoyment of the day in ultimate style and comfort.

In this room the client wanted a boutique hotel look and feel with bags of colour. I created a colour scheme from the wallpaper we chose to tie the room together using different shades of pink and maroon and there isn’t a shade of white in sight. We kept the existing furniture and came up with a new lighting plan taking away the ‘big light’ (which wasn’t being used) and opted for pendants with individual switches to add a bit of luxury.

The bedroom is kept deliberately calm and pared back, with soft daylight filtering through to the en-suite beyond. A glazed opening draws light deep into the plan, while the restrained palette and gentle furnishings create a space that feels quiet, restful and unforced — a place to slow down at the end of the day.

We added a velvet bed and cream carpet & linen curtains to the guest bedroom of our Wandsworth Common Family Home, as well as a rattan console and leather bench
