Scenic Interiors, LLCIn this 1929 home, we opened the small kitchen doorway into a large curved archway, bringing the dining room and kitchen together. Hand-made Motawi Arts and Crafts backsplash tiles, oak hardwood floors, and quarter-sawn oak cabinets matching the existing millwork create an authentic period look for the kitchen. A new Marvin window and enhanced cellulose insulation make the space more comfortable and energy efficient. In the all new second floor bathroom, the period was maintained with hexagonal floor tile, subway tile wainscot, a clawfoot tub and period-style fixtures. The window is Marvin Ultrex which is impervious to bathroom humidity.

West One Bathrooms LtdAs part of a refurbishment to the whole house, this bathroom was located on the top floor of the house and dedicated to our clients four daughters. When our clients first set out with planning the bathroom, they didn’t think it was possible to fit a bath as well as a shower in due to the slopped ceilings and pitched roof.

Inspired by the sugar plantation estates on the island of Barbados, “Orchid Beach” radiates a barefoot elegance.
The bath features a full-size hydrotherapy tub below a large picture window looking out to a mature plumeria. The exquisite chamfered wall tile flows through the shower, and perfectly complements the runway of stunning marble penny tile insert on the floor.
The master bath opens to reveal the orchid conservatory and meditation space. The orchid conservatory features four walls of lattice with oval portholes, an outdoor shower, lovely seating area to enjoy the beautiful flowers, and a relaxing bronze Cupid fountain.
The challenge was to bring the outdoors in with the Orchid Conservatory while maintaining privacy.
It is a dream oasis with an indulgent, spacious spa-like feel.
Studio SteidleyThis master bath was once dark and crowded, and the shower was small with little space to move. The client wanted the shower expanded to not feel so cramped. Studio Steidley designed a shower that becomes an experience with large black marble shower walls, a floating quartz shower bench, and champagne bronze plumbing fixtures. The frameless glass surround makes this shower feel open and inviting, even with the dark tile.

Cyr Kitchen and BathThis Bathroom was designed by Lynne in our Salem showroom. This bathroom was designed to make it handicap accessible for the homeowners. This remodel includes glass mosaic shower tile with octagon matte white with grey dot tile floor. It also includes white subway, white chair rail and Anatolia element border around edge. Other features in this remodel include Kohler Pedistal sink, and faucet, Moen shower faucet, Jaclo linear drain and Ferguson Moen shower seat.

The hall bath for this client started out a little dated with its 1970’s color scheme and general wear and tear, but check out the transformation!
The floor is really the focal point here, it kind of works the same way wallpaper would, but -- it’s on the floor. I love this graphic tile, patterned after Moroccan encaustic, or cement tile, but this one is actually porcelain at a very affordable price point and much easier to install than cement tile.
Once we had homeowner buy-in on the floor choice, the rest of the space came together pretty easily – we are calling it “transitional, Moroccan, industrial.” Key elements are the traditional vanity, Moroccan shaped mirrors and flooring, and plumbing fixtures, coupled with industrial choices -- glass block window, a counter top that looks like cement but that is actually very functional Corian, sliding glass shower door, and simple glass light fixtures.
The final space is bright, functional and stylish. Quite a transformation, don’t you think?

TreHus Architects+Interior Designers+BuildersThe owners of this South Minneapolis home wished to renovate their outdated bath to create a relaxing, therapeutic, master suite. Fixtures were flipped within the room, creating more space and minimizing compartmentalization. Clean 3x6 Subway tiles were paired with dark grout for a crisp feel. The floor, though simple and unembellished, forms a strong contrast against the wall color and dark vanity.
