down2earth Interior Design, LLC.In this bathroom reno in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia, highly functional vanity cabinets were already doing a great job of meeting the homeowner’s storage needs. It’s just that they were a dated dark brown wood color and a bit scuffed up. These cabinets, coupled with frosted closet doors on the opposite wall, made for a luxe washing and dressing area in the homeowner’s en suite bathroom. So why spend money and create waste replacing these elements when we can refresh them? A charcoal paint and new chrome hardware on the cabinets and a fresh white wall paint in the room makes the existing surfaces look good as new. Then, to truly update and brighten the space, we specified new sinks and faucets and bright white picket-shaped tile to be installed up to the ceiling. The quartz countertop has a stunning black vein running across the white surface and special care was taken to template this top so that the most striking part of the veining would be visible between the sinks on this double vanity. A header above the mirror that hid a fluorescent light tube was demolished to allow the ceiling to soar and we instead installed stylish linear vanity lights and a large black framed mirror. Crystal Kitchen + BathThese homeowners wanted to update their 1990’s bathroom with a statement tub to retreat and relax.
The primary bathroom was outdated and needed a facelift. The homeowner’s wanted to elevate all the finishes and fixtures to create a luxurious feeling space.
From the expanded vanity with wall sconces on each side of the gracefully curved mirrors to the plumbing fixtures that are minimalistic in style with their fluid lines, this bathroom is one you want to spend time in.
Adding a sculptural free-standing tub with soft curves and elegant proportions further elevated the design of the bathroom.
Heated floors make the space feel elevated, warm, and cozy.
White Carrara tile is used throughout the bathroom in different tile size and organic shapes to add interest. A tray ceiling with crown moulding and a stunning chandelier with crystal beads illuminates the room and adds sparkle to the space.

Classic Home ImprovementsThis beautiful Chula Vista master bathroom was transformed into this luxurious and elegant hotel design with two Ariel Cambridge Midnight Blue vanities with marble tops. The gold frame mirrors showcase the rest of the champagne bronze fixtures and hardware in this master suite. The deep freestanding tub is calling for a relaxing evening to unwind in this newly renovated bathroom in Chula Vista.

Metropolis Drafting and Construction IncAnother update project we did in the same Townhome community in Culver city. This time more towards Modern Farmhouse / Transitional design.
Kitchen cabinets were completely refinished with new hardware installed. The black island is a great center piece to the white / gold / brown color scheme.
The Master bathroom was transformed from a plain contractor's bathroom to a true modern mid-century jewel of the house. The black floor and tub wall tiles are a fantastic way to accent the white tub and freestanding wooden vanity.
Notice how the plumbing fixtures are almost hidden with the matte black finish on the black tile background.
The shower was done in a more modern tile layout with aligned straight lines.
The hallway Guest bathroom was partially updated with new fixtures, vanity, toilet, shower door and floor tile.
that's what happens when older style white subway tile came back into fashion. They fit right in with the other updates.

Progressive Design BuildThe dual vanity in the master bathroom was designed with white Dura Supreme cabinetry, accented with polished chrome hardware, and topped with a smoked pearl quartz countertop. Modern accents include the two metal framed mirrors, and brushed nickel sconces by Capital Lighting.
This bathroom, already decently sized, is made to look even bigger with the uniform, reflective tiling of the wall-to-wall 4″ x 12″ tile in a Pearl finish. It runs behind the vanity and the entire length of the wall into the shower, where it transitions into the same 4” x 12” tile but in an Aqua finish.

Kat’s Plumbing Co.We know the world works in mysterious ways – we were reminded of this when two very distinct clients paired feature green subway tiles with a terrazzo looking floor tile AT THE SAME TIME with black tap ware and wooden vanities. We claim credit in the plumbing, carpentry, waterproofing and tiling, but not the design.
Our preferred marine grade tiled shower base was installed onto substrate flooring. The vanity and bath plumbing were both reconfigured to suit the new layout. Plantation blinds have since been installed to round off this lovely bathroom.
