This master bath needed some improvement! The shower was very small and dated...with mold growing in all sorts of hidden spaces! The tile was improperly installed, so the grout was cracking. The corner whirlpool tub was difficult to use. To improve this bath, we removed a built-in cabinet, moved a wall, and changed double doors to a single one so the shower could be expanded. The corner whirlpool tub was removed and replaced with a smaller rectangular tub to open up the space. New tile was installed with accent tile bands and a pattern in the floor. We installed frameless shower glass to give the space an open feel and added two showerheads, three body sprays and a bench. An elegant chandelier was hung over the tub and two vanity lights were installed over the sinks where their previously had been only one. Photo credit: Oivanki Photography

This teen boy's bathroom is both masculine and modern. Wood-look tile creates an interesting pattern in the shower, while matte black hardware and dark wood cabinets carry out the masculine theme. A floating vanity makes the room appear slightly larger. Limestone tile floors and a durable quartz countertop provide ease in maintenance. A map of Denver hanging over the towel bar adds a bit of local history and character.

Primary bathroom renovation. **Window glass was frosted after most photos were taken, but had been done before this photo.** Window frosted to 2/3 height for privacy, but allowing plenty of light and a beautiful sky and tree top view. Navy, gray, and black are balanced by crisp whites and light wood tones. Eclectic mix of geometric shapes and organic patterns. Featuring 3D porcelain tile from Italy, hand-carved geometric tribal pattern in vanity's cabinet doors, hand-finished industrial-style navy/charcoal 24x24" wall tiles, and oversized 24x48" porcelain HD printed marble patterned wall tiles. Flooring in waterproof LVP, continued from bedroom into bathroom and closet. Brushed gold faucets and shower fixtures. Authentic, hand-pierced Moroccan globe light over tub for beautiful shadows for relaxing and romantic soaks in the tub. Vanity pendant lights with handmade glass, hand-finished gold and silver tones layers organic design over geometric tile backdrop. Open, glass panel all-tile shower with 48x48" window (glass frosted after photos were taken). Shower pan tile pattern matches 3D tile pattern. Arched medicine cabinet from West Elm. Separate toilet room with sound dampening built-in wall treatment for enhanced privacy. Frosted glass doors throughout. Vent fan with integrated heat option. Tall storage cabinet for additional space to store body care products and other bathroom essentials. Original bathroom plumbed for two sinks, but current homeowner has only one user for this bathroom, so we capped one side, which can easily be reopened in future if homeowner wants to return to a double-sink setup. Expanded closet size and completely redesigned closet built-in storage. Please see separate album of closet photos for more photos and details on this.

THE COMPLETE RENOVATION OF A LARGE DETACHED FAMILY HOME This project was a labour of love from start to finish and we think it shows. We worked closely with the architect and contractor to create the interiors of this stunning house in Richmond, West London. The existing house was just crying out for a new lease of life, it was so incredibly tired and dated. An interior designer’s dream. A new rear extension was designed to house the vast kitchen diner. Below that in the basement – a cinema, games room and bar. In addition, the drawing room, entrance hall, stairwell master bedroom and en-suite also came under our remit. We took all these areas on plan and articulated our concepts to the client in 3D. Then we implemented the whole thing for them. So Timothy James Interiors were responsible for curating or custom-designing everything you see in these photos OUR FULL INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICE INCLUDING PROJECT COORDINATION AND IMPLEMENTATION Our brief for this interior design project was to create a ‘private members club feel’. Precedents included Soho House and Firmdale Hotels. This is very much our niche so it’s little wonder we were appointed. Cosy but luxurious interiors with eye-catching artwork, bright fabrics and eclectic furnishings. The scope of services for this project included both the interior design and the interior architecture. This included lighting plan , kitchen and bathroom designs, bespoke joinery drawings and a design for a stained glass window. This project also included the full implementation of the designs we had conceived. We liaised closely with appointed contractor and the trades to ensure the work was carried out in line with the designs. We ordered all of the interior finishes and had them delivered to the relevant specialists. Furniture, soft furnishings and accessories were ordered alongside the site works. When the house was finished we conducted a full installation of the furnishings, artwork and finishing touches.

For the steam shower, we carried the matte grey porcelain tiles from the floor onto the walls for a really continuous, cohesive feel. A simple, black mosaic tile creates a bold contrast in the space while maintaining a sleek and modern aesthetic. We completed the design with custom glass doors and polished chrome plumbing fixtures.

Reconfiguration of a dilapidated bathroom and separate toilet in a Victorian house in Walthamstow village. The original toilet was situated straight off of the landing space and lacked any privacy as it opened onto the landing. The original bathroom was separate from the WC with the entrance at the end of the landing. To get to the rear bedroom meant passing through the bathroom which was not ideal. The layout was reconfigured to create a family bathroom which incorporated a walk-in shower where the original toilet had been and freestanding bath under a large sash window. The new bathroom is slightly slimmer than the original this is to create a short corridor leading to the rear bedroom. The ceiling was removed and the joists exposed to create the feeling of a larger space. A rooflight sits above the walk-in shower and the room is flooded with natural daylight. Hanging plants are hung from the exposed beams bringing nature and a feeling of calm tranquility into the space.

Originally this was an old 80's bathroom where the wall separated the vanity from the shower and toilet. By removing the wall and changing the window configuration, we were able to create this relaxing open floor plan master bathroom.
