Light and Airy shiplap bathroom was the dream for this hard working couple. The goal was to totally re-create a space that was both beautiful, that made sense functionally and a place to remind the clients of their vacation time. A peaceful oasis. We knew we wanted to use tile that looks like shiplap. A cost effective way to create a timeless look. By cladding the entire tub shower wall it really looks more like real shiplap planked walls. The center point of the room is the new window and two new rustic beams. Centered in the beams is the rustic chandelier. Download our free ebook, Creating the Ideal Kitchen. DOWNLOAD NOW Our clients were in the market for an upgrade from builder grade in their Glen Ellyn bathroom! They came to us requesting a more spa like experience and a designer’s eye to create a more refined space. A large steam shower, bench and rain head replaced a dated corner bathtub. In addition, we added heated floors for those cool Chicago months and several storage niches and built-in cabinets to keep extra towels and toiletries out of sight. The use of circles in the tile, cabinetry and new window in the shower give this primary bath the character it was lacking, while lowering and modifying the unevenly vaulted ceiling created symmetry in the space. The end result is a large luxurious spa shower, more storage space and improvements to the overall comfort of the room. A nice upgrade from the existing builder grade space! Our clients wanted to renovate their dated bathroom. On their wish list was a larger shower, linen closet, better lighting, using a modern farmhouse style that felt luxurious. We moved the small shower out of the corner, and made it the focal point in the room. We used penny rounds on the shower floor, bronze plumbing, and hand made elongated subway tiles. A deep gray grout shows off each tile. The old shower became the new linen closet.

We made this principal bath lighter and brighter using natural materials and new lighting. The sea-glass limestone sets off the glass shower accent wall beautifully while the sculpted edge tile anchors the tub. Using Slipper Satin No. 2004 by Farrow and Ball on the cabinets and a light wood-look porcelain on the floors blended all the colors together making this a relaxing get a way for our happy clients.
