New Space ArchitectureThere are so many things to consider when designing an extension for open-plan family living; how you enter the space, how you connect the room with the garden, how the different areas within the space interact and flow to name a few... This project allowed us to bring all of these aspects together in an harmonious fashion by tying in an elegant modern extension with a period traditional home. Key features include a parapet flat roof, internal crittall doors and full length glazing and sliding doors helping to bring the outside in. A simple yet elegant design, perfectly formed for modern family life.
Revival by DesignWhen we were asked by our clients to help fully overhaul this grade II listed property. We knew we needed to consider the spaces for modern day living and make it as open and light and airy as possible. There were a few specifics from our client, but on the whole we were left to the design the main brief being modern country with colour and pattern. There were some challenges along the way as the house is octagonal in shape and some rooms, especially the principal ensuite were quite a challenge.

UserSet within a classic 3 story townhouse in Clifton is this stunning ensuite bath and steam room. The brief called for understated luxury, a space to start the day right or relax after a long day. The space drops down from the master bedroom and had a large chimney breast giving challenges and opportunities to our designer. The result speaks for itself, a truly luxurious space with every need considered. His and hers sinks with a book-matched marble slab backdrop act as a dramatic feature revealed as you come down the steps. The steam room with wrap around bench has a built in sound system for the ultimate in relaxation while the freestanding egg bath, surrounded by atmospheric recess lighting, offers a warming embrace at the end of a long day.
Simpson & VoyleThis beautiful principle suite is like a beautiful retreat from the world. Created to exaggerate a sense of calm and beauty. The tiles look like wood to give a sense of warmth, with the added detail of brass finishes. the bespoke vanity unity made from marble is the height of glamour. The large scale mirrored cabinets, open the space and reflect the light from the original victorian windows, with a view onto the pink blossom outside.
Cat Dal Interiors This new build architectural gem required a sensitive approach to balance the strong modernist language with the personal, emotive feel desired by the clients.
Taking inspiration from the California MCM aesthetic, we added bold colour blocking, interesting textiles and patterns, and eclectic lighting to soften the glazing, crisp detailing and linear forms. With a focus on juxtaposition and contrast, we played with the ‘mix’; utilising a blend of new & vintage pieces, differing shapes & textures, and touches of whimsy for a lived in feel.
Simpson & VoyleThe image showcases a chic and contemporary bathroom vanity area with a focus on clean lines and monochromatic tones. The vanity cabinet features a textured front with vertical grooves, painted in a crisp white that contrasts with the sleek black handles and faucet. This combination of black and white creates a bold, graphic look that is both modern and timeless.
Above the vanity, a round mirror with a thin black frame reflects the clean aesthetic of the space, complementing the other black accents. The wall behind the vanity is partially tiled with white subway tiles, adding a classic bathroom touch that meshes well with the contemporary features.
A two-bulb wall sconce is mounted above the mirror, providing ample lighting with a minimalist design that doesn't detract from the overall simplicity of the decor. To the right, a towel ring holds a white towel, continuing the black and white theme.
