DHV Architects
DHV Architects have designed the new second floor at this large detached house in Henleaze, Bristol. The brief was to fit a generous master bedroom and a high end bathroom into the loft space. Crittall style glazing combined with mono chromatic colours create a sleek contemporary feel. A large rear dormer with an oversized window make the bedroom light and airy.

These geometric, candy coloured tiles are the hero of this bathroom. Playful, bright and heartening on the eye. The built in storage and tiles in the same colour make the bathroom feel bright and open.

Absolute Project Management
Efficient use of the space has been ensured during the design phase for an ergonomic use. New white bathroom units are shining in the area, allowing a clean and smart look. The overflow of the floor tiles to the side of the bathtub looks refreshing. Chrome Samuel Heath tap-ware has added a beautiful touch to the space fitting beautifully with the white units. A light palette with very minimal brass fixtures, making the Tadelakt and the booked match wall the true stars.
Perhaps it’s because of its exotic provenance or perhaps because it connects us to nature, but tadelakt is is one of our favorite material so far. A plaster that has a special application and finish, Tadelakt was originally invented and used by the Berbers in Morocco. It was used for walls, sinks, showers and drinking vessels. It feels both sophisticated and rudimentary at the same time.

the main bathroom was to be a timeless, elegant sanctuary, to create a sense of peace within a busy home. We chose a neutrality and understated colour palette which evokes a feeling a calm, and allows the brushed brass fittings and free standing bath to become the focus.
LD Design
The old tub was removed to allow for a walk-in shower sheathed in stone, with a glass enclosure, a heated marble floor, fittings by Kallista from Ann Sacks, and Mirror Ball pendant by Tom Dixon. Accessories are by Waterworks. The wall-hung vanity was designed by LD Design and custom made in rift-cut white oak in grey stain.
In the bath, the plumbing fixtures are Kallista by Ann Sacks. The toilet is Toto. The accessories are by Waterworks. The wall light over mirror is by Nessen Lighting. The pendant fixture is by Tom Dixon.
