The sheer fall is actually 2-8' falls with 2-1.5 hp pumps. The flow rate for sizing a sheer fall is 10 GPM per lineal foot of sheer fall. The sheers can be built in plastic, ABS or metal. In the metal version it's either SS or Copper.... both are much more expensive then the plastic counterpart. Since very little is exposed when installing these sheers, I give my clients the cost options and let them decide if they want to make the investment. All of these added features on a pool add cost and they add enjoyment in how your specific pool project is ultimately designed and entertained with. I install sheers on most of my project this season. The best manufacture is Custom Cascade in Temecula, Ca... one of the least expensive plastic ones is CMP out of Florida
