Good article. The picture gallery is fantastic! I prefer having a backyard that helps me become more creative and also a source of good food and comfort. Looking "expensive" is not really a priority.

Great article.

I’d like to add my two cents. When you have a path in a small yard, you can give the illusion of depth by narrowing the path as it moves farther from your vantage point.

Looking at the photos above, I couldn’t help but wonder how much longer the rill would look if it and its border narrowed by an inch or two when it reached the source.
