When I looked outside my dining room window this week, I noticed that my next door neighbours’ wisteria had burst into bloom seemingly overnight. A flush of lavender-blue flowers covered what had recently been bare, spindly branches. Given the current state of everything, it felt like a beautiful, silent protest in support of carrying on. Then I realised the kale seeds I planted last month were sprouting, and birds were chirping and flitting to and from their nests. Spring was here, and all of the natural beauty and rebirth that comes with it was on its way.
Calling the Houzz community: Show us how spring looks where you are. We’d love to see the trees that are leafing up near your window or the buds that are opening up in your garden. We hope the signs of this new season can bring us all just a little closer together.

In Northern California, delicate star-shaped flowers cover a back garden pear tree. After falling from the tree, the petals form a white carpet on the ground.
“The calla lilies in my backyard are in full bloom, making my working from home a little bit brighter,” Houzz editor Bryan Anthony writes.
Houzz editor Mitchell Parker came across this resting butterfly while on a walk in San Jose, California.
Have you filled your home with visions of spring? A bouquet of white tulips on this Columbus, Ohio, kitchen worktop creates a daily reminder of spring.

I’m in Mississippi.
@Doc you’re in Mississippi with the Texas State Flower... I love Lantana. I think the name of yours is “Carnival”. It’s my favorite of all the different colors. Thanks for sharing!
It's Lilly Time! A late spring revival, lilies are an easy way to create beauty in your yard. Symbolizing humility and devotion, it's regarded as a 30th anniversary flower. Which is a wonderful way to say thank you for time together well spent. In my case, celebrating the age of my home that has raised a family, held many barbecues on its deck, with friends and pets coming and going through the doors is a tribute to life well shared and lived. While many seasons have come and gone, lilies have been an enduring mainstay. Time flies when the compass is set to tending a garden. Many lessons learned in cultivating, planting and seeding. I've had a few years to understand that a home can be made better with nature's greenery. For any age, one can develop vision through planning and connection through the work of digging, mowing and watering. Nature, nurture and nourish is a perfect summary of what a potted plant, row of flowers or potager garden can do for one's self. Enjoy!
