love it, except for the backsplash... to me it's not "glamorous", it's too bling and unpractical. And maybe I see a point in another comment above, that sitting 5 in a line on the island is not very practical for conversation, even if it looks good in the kitchen design. Those windows add a really nice industrial touch. And I'm so glad to see a kitchen that is not white/grey/black !

vmbluelemur, totally agree on perching five in a row, like birds on a telegraph wire. All that matters here is that it works for the owners. But as a rule this arrangement assumes that five people want to eat or drink at the same time, that everyone is the same height and equally nimble and that so many extras in the kitchen aren't going to get in the way of the cook(s) !
