Thanks for the recommendations guys! I didn't really think of sedums for my area (zone 2-3 in Canada) and they're a great option. I just bought some Autumn Joy to try out and I'm definitely going to look into more sedums for when we plant out the rest of our retaining wall. The sedums definitely give me a lot more options towards being able to achieve the kind of garden I really love.
