Islav2012, if you are picking paint first, I guess you must be good at seeing undertones of paint. For me, it is alot easier to to pick paint colors after identifying undertones in the fixed materials of carpet, upholstery, etc., especially if you are selecting a neutral paint color to pull the room together. If you have a particular art or carpet, they have limited colors. With paint, there are so many colors, so you can find a perfect match (or accent) to the make the room beautiful by selecting color from the items in the room. For example, lots of folks think beige is beige. It is not. It can have undertones of gold, pink, or orange. If your carpet is pink beige, it is not going to look good with orange beige paint. Even white paint can look blue, yellow, or another color in its undertones. Just my perspective.

I've a question about the extension on first post (chose paint first) the Barrington Project. What is the glass extension called? We are attempting to extend a room and the costs are ridiculous up to 100k for an additional 4'. I'm wondering about an extension like this. Can someone point to a source or provide any direction?
