Just because your child or children’s bedroom isn’t huge doesn’t mean it can’t work harder to pack in more storage. From simple ideas such as wall-mounting cabinets to more involved built-in cabin beds, there are plenty of ideas here to suit every style and size of space.

I love quite a few of these very imaginative designs. However, with some of the high-rise designs, I feel substance has been compromised for form. The security guard rails in some seem too low to keep wriggly children safe whilst sleeping, so although a higher rail might look less streamlined, it is needed. The vertical slatted security rails look brilliant.
My grandson’s room is tiny, a single bed and chest of drawers. the wardrobe had to be removed when he transferred from cot to bed. its not a high ceiling and roof height doesnt allow for a loft conversion. Is it feasible to remove some of his ceiling, install steps to create a mezzanine sleeping platform in loft?
