Some gorgeous ones indeed here. I'm lucky to be surrounded by similar period homes with equally delightful front gardens which on my daily rounds are a wonder of sight and smell! Not so blessed are those now living in the new monstrous, tree-less, soul-less, identikit housing estate that's now being 'thrown up' after over a decade of protest from local people.
Please do more features on drought resistant plants and schemes that don’t have lawns but do have good drainage. I think most lawns in July 2022 are yellow due to lack of rain. Perhaps in time we will get better at including water recovery when building and renovating new homes but in the short term lawns just aren’t getting watered.
