Shaker style cabinets that look good
If we go with wood, I like lighter woods and maple in particular. Not sure if it would work with the other woods in the house. Other features here - using the full height of the room for the cabinets and the appliance garage in the corner. I can see going with a different material or color for upper and lower cabinets
This shows the patio view of the pass-through
I'm not sure how this works, but having the tops of the pots on the door could be a good solution.
A way to do something like this. This doesn't seem to be perfect, but in the right direction.
Little things like this...
I love using the space next to the refrigerator for storage like this. I'm not a fan of the top half here, but would have shelves like the bottom half all the way up.
I don't know how this works, but I'm intrigued.
This is sweet. The sink looks out the window and there is space for people to sit on the other side.
I love this, but I would probably make the counter even deeper so the small appliances can be pulled out and used. I imagine the (heavy) mixer here.
Is this weird or wonderful? Accessing things on high shelves is the bane of my kitchen existence. This would solve it, but I'm not sure I love it.
It's nice to have a little color. That's mostly what I like about this kitchen
Design considerations
I like dishes in drawers
Gorgeous pantry
Pot and pan storage

Having a drawer for charging would be great.
Storage idea
An option for lighting in the kitchen
Dark countertops offset with color in the cabinets.
I love the woodwork and the variety of cabinet facings. Doesn't seem bright enough.
This is another idea for having a shorter surface for cutting, kneading, stirring.
Add pull-out step to island for cutting, kneading
This kitchen is really interesting to us. Instead of the full wall opening up, it offers a pass-through to the patio.
I like this way to store dishes and spices. I wouldn't put spices and cleaners in the same drawer.
Lighting by windows. Hanging lamps.
This look is good. I would prefer covering the appliances.
Glass division between living room and kitchen/dining area, craftsman cabinets
High wainscotting with contrasting something. On east wall of kitchen.
Leaded glass cabinet door.
Lighting inside cabinets. Stained glass?
This look, cabinets, counter tops, lighting. Not tiling or wood floors.
Mix of stained and painted shaker style
