Ahuimanu Renovations House
Look at room dividers for noise control
Hey, I did many of them already! Ahead of the times :-)
Confirms my choices
Hey, my shower exactly! Much better than wetroom, where I could see lots of potential problems plus the idea of a wet floor extending outwards is not good. Potential slip hazard.
Shows several of my renovations :-)
Maybe, just maybe might get a rug for under dining room table.
Yayyyy! I have almost all of these recommendations: grab bars, low curb shower, no thresholds between rooms, excellent lighting, textured porcelain tile floors. Good work, girl!
Look at chairs. Pricey but beautiful design. My chairs are based on Danish design.
Good ideas. Especially about having sofa in the middle of the room instead of against the wall. And using furniture to divide off spaces.
Like this remodel, all the light Kitchen looks great but can't see much of it.
Compared to mine, I like mine much better.
130 SF bigger than mine. Very nice but I like mine better :-).
Look at sliding doors
Hey, I am so on trend!! Exactly what I decided to do. Wonderful to have backup stories like this. Confirmation that I haven't remodeled in an extreme way. Yayy!
more subtle colors but would be nice against blue flooring
Some good renovations for a small space. Makes me reconsider the acrylic shower :-)
Great ideas from this couple.
Definitely get rid of closets and construct something like these.
OK article. Not sure it explains well.
States that casements are easier to open over countertops.
Good article. Reread.
Very good article, good info about the importance of this step. Installing foundation for electrical, plumbing, HVAC (installed during this stage), framing.
Good article
Look at layouts. First one is mine
Looks at these configs. I think perpendicular may work.
Table versus island. Looks good but my table is bigger. Might just work.
This is very close to what i would have if I pushed table against island.
Chairs on two sides of corner.
I love this. Would be so cool to splurge and have a dining table extend out from the island in a light wood color. $$$$$
Very good article about configs for island seating.
Will work as height of quartz table is 29 inches and I want countertops to be max of 32 inches. So only a 3 inch drop. Would look fine.
Here's a square table set up against island. Looks too squeezed with the chairs.
Interesting idea. Looks more comfortable than the ones with a cabinet against the knees.
READ before island decisions
drawers beneath cooktop or oven for heavy pots.
Very close to what I want. Maybe two: one for lids & frying pans, wok. Second for cutting boads, cookie sheets, trays, baking pans, roasting pan. And no door. Cutaway front is probably good, easier to grab handles, etc.
Interesting combo of dark blue and creams/whites
Love these black framed windows and door.
Good ideas about making sure measurements fit everything and movement is good.
Here's an example of white CT and light wood cabs. I think would look nicer with black handles added.
I do like the look of these light wood cabs, black handles, white CT and light floor. Might look really good in both bathroom & kitchen. How about in flat panel or need the recessed look?
A mix of interrupted flooring? Although this is a concrete slab.
Still thinking about gold leaf on dining room wall
Over toilet in den bathroom? Good because doesn't take up floor space. Would go great w new wall color.
Nice bright undercab lighting.
Silvery greens. Walking the line between gray and green, silvery greens are elegant and light, making them incredibly versatile. Think of lamb’s ear, olive leaves, eucalyptus and lichen on a craggy cliff. Kelly Deck Design Ideas for using silvery greens. Subtle, pale silvery green makes a natural partner for whites and grays. Even a small touch of silvery green — in a fabric, a piece of art, a cushion — would be enough to add interest and depth to a neutral scheme.
9. Soft Sage The quietest colors of the bunch, light sages are among my favorites for those seeking a super subtle shade of green. It has some gray in it, which keeps it from being too sweet and pastel. It looks lovely with light woods and warm whites. Jennifer Ott Design For a similar look: Sage Splendor by PPG.
White. White is really one of the most asked-about colors. The perfect white is sought after for cabinets and trim. Undertones in white paint are important and can really shift a palette. My favorite pure white is White Dove OC-17, by Benjamin Moore. This white, shown here in this gorgeous kitchen, is crisp with no undertones. It looks great against any color.
Love these neutral tones combination.
Really like gray with pink accents
Just in case I have to replace flooring :-(
