Fireplace
Ryan loves this, Emily not so crazy. I like the contrasting but similar color tones. Simple and clean. I really like the concept of a ‘single unit’ filling in the space on both sides of the fireplace- similar to what we have now, but not golden oak. Bar height cabinet 24” deep on bottom with something added on top that has shelves- could be open or closed above, around 12-18” deep. Could be open on one side and have doors on the other side.
This is bordering on a bit brutal/ minimalist, but Ryan loves this one. His favorite cabinet/ bar design, dark quartz backsplash. The wood veneer panels that slide in on the side, closes up very sleek. Probably too much wood to do everywhere, but at least an idea of the sides of the fireplace. And the stone work around the fireplace is super cool.
Ryan’s top 3. Darker tone fireplace facade but not too dark, lighter grey/ taupe cabinet, light walls; looks amazing color wise. Lighting down on cabinets looks good. This is striato anthracite stone. Textured wallpaper on the fireplace could be subtle, much cheaper than stone, looks good.
