kitchen ideas
Simple design would be nice if we have a waterfall island.
fabulous idea under the sink! -Yes these are nice. *****Unfortunately sometimes due to the sink size, plumbing and hardware requirements, they are difficult to utilize effectively. The bottom drawer is generally more if an option or even a slide out behind doors. (Jason's comments after the asterisks)
Love the cabinet color and tile. Something like this would be great for a designated coffee/tea area. I'm thinking that this would be about the size of the counters/cabinets on each side of the stove if we centered the stove. Automatic coffee niche closest to the sink area (where our coffee stuff is now), and the other side could just hang out for cooking shenanigans.
I really like this island countertop. I would like the island countertop to be different from the perimeter countertops. I would like some sort of stone or manmade surface that is non porous and can take the heat if I sit a hot dish on it. Stain resistant, for sure. Would love to use some sort of recycled glass or something (one can dream...haha!
I like these cabinets a lot. Especially if the uppers open horizontally, like an old fashioned garage door.
wouldn't be opposed to the right slab backsplash. I Kinda like this splashy display of "in your faceness". Probably totally out of our price range, but I'm keeping it in play because gah! It's too pretty for words!
Love the floating shelves by the sink. Would take tile all the way up to the ceiling.
Such a functional island. Love all the drawers and cabinets, would divorce this hardware.if we decide to blow out the great room wall, and if we could have an island this large, it would be ideal for the deep pot drawer that I'd like to have. All of my prep work is done on our island and I don't see that changing. Will also need pullout trash and recycling bins like we have now.
Such a soft grey....love the cabinet colors, and also like the shaker style cabinet fronts. I like this gray as well. Most clients I work with have preferred white. A few of my clients recently have chosen to add some color. It’s always nice to do this if it works in the overall concept well.
Absolute necessity.
This is the hood I'd like over the stove. The rest of this picture blows. -**** I might push in another direction on the hood unless you’re absolutely attached to this one. There are a lot of cool options. (Jason's reply) **We don't mind being let in other directions at all.
Really interesting backsplash. It looks like tumbled stone, but not sure. I just like the mixed grays and whites. I really have a white tile that I love but this might be nice as a one-off behind the stove if it's easy to keep clean.
I want a niche next to the sink for our Berkey. And I want another niche for coffee kettle, press, grinder and beans in a glass jar. Above it will be all the cups, and teas. One small area dedicated to all things caffeinated and herbal.
This blue is totally my jam. Not the kitchen, just the color for the island, perhaps?
Want for Costco sized olive oil and other cooking essentials.
If we choose not to expand the footprint of the kitchen, perhaps we could do a wraparound like this on both sides of the kitchen/dining room opening.
My dream kitchen....but don't think it would resell well. Perhaps some elements could be incorporated - color, cabinets, wind chime is totally bitchin'.
I'd kill for those clearstory windows. The backsplash is interesting and I like the cabinets.
Gimme that backsplash tile!! I actually love everything about this layout and color. The flooring reminds me of the hickory we'll have in the kitchen.
love the white cabinet uppers and the dark island . Not sure about the white countertops and the chair on the end of the island. I think that space could be used better. Maybe wine rack?
simple and nice
