New foundation dug in under existing
Spatial organization. Ceiling shapes like what I imagined for remodeling existing living room, but not so tall. Windows, fp good. Warmer colors. Maybe we just turn it into a shed roof.
Colorways
Floors with light wood and dark beams in ceiling, wood cabinets soften the white, wood and gray countertops, shelves and fixtures.

Clever book and vase stashing, walls, trim
Carry the patio material into the entry walk off
Scale, lightness of panels, hardware, doorway timbers. Storage above cabinets looks nice with baskets, but it’s impractical at that height for heavy objects. Another row of cabinets preferable. Could use wine crates for shoes in lower drawer space. Needs a small leather bench seat in the first space.
Desk to the window
Everything but the color. Right carport wing could just be covered walk over man door/ stairway to guest space above. One garage bay for car, another for workshop/ tools. Would need to reconfigure roof to allow for window on the water side. Maybe just add a bit of a sidewall before the gable starts. To keep the proportions right, could be a low window with the foot of the bed pointed at it for that sea bunk feel, with the pony wall or railing of the stairwell serving as a headboard
