Working with Blansfield builders over the years has been a wonderful experience.
Jim is very organized and methodical about the quality of construction he is giving to his clients. Working with him on numerous job from out of state can bring its problems and confusion, however that was never the case. He made everything very easy and timely.

In a word, this team is stellar. Blansfield Builders have completed several jobs on our home and every phase from planning to completion was executed with professionalism and great skill. Jim is the consummate collaborator… from carefully listening to our needs, to opening our eyes to possibilities we hadn’t considered or even known about, to devising solutions to some tricky challenges. He personally checks the work site frequently and is responsive and communicative throughout construction. Moreover, all of his subs are experienced experts in their areas and do nothing only halfway. They’re reliable, neat, precise, attentive to detail, highly considerate of the home and its surroundings, and are simply wonderful people to know. They work tirelessly to make things right and produce gorgeous results – part function and part artwork. (At this point, we view them as part of our family!) No remodeling nightmares here…. only complete peace of mind and outstanding results.

Jim Blansfield and the subs he works with, in addition to the businesses Jim recommended for our project purchases were SPOT ON!
We are in an older home with lots of "Uh Oh" moments... Jim handled each and every one of these old-home "hiccups" with professionalism and more importantly... walked us through the decisions and delivered our completed projects on time and ready for some very special family celebrations at our home.
We asked Blansfield Builders back for a 2nd renovation and we continue to use the contractors for service to our plumbing and HVAC needs.

Jim Blansfield and his crew completed a major home renovation and multiple smaller jobs for us. Not a single complaint. Everything is done on time. He is a perfectionist. Any minor changes are done, no questions asked. I have given his name to others who have been equally impressed. He is currently renovating our master bath, another great project. I am only sad we are going to run out of projects to work on, perhaps it is time to start on another house!

Blansfield Builders has completed 4 major renovations in my home. There expertise, quality of work and personnel involvement by Jim Blansfield himself receives my highest accomendation. I am a Professional Engineer with high standards in workmanship. I have never had a better experiance then with Jim and Company. The renovation of our circular master bathroom was magnificent , was featured and won an award from Connecticut Builders Magazine. Our main floor complete renovation is breathtaking includine wood and iron work, venetialn plaster, marble flooring and a wonderful bar area. We recently completed a garage extension with beautiful wood arches and stone veneer. Each day, the worksite was left completely clean with plastic partitions installed daily to control dust and create passageways utilized effortlessly by myself, wife, kids and MOST IMPORTANTLY, by Sonny my Yellow Lab. There was no project too large or small for them to undertake. I can honestly say that Jim and his entire crew have become great friends and part of our family.

Blansfield Builders was hired to do a top to bottom renovation on my 1930's stone colonial in Connecticut. We ended up incorporating a lot of new more modern concepts and mixing it with rustic antique wood flooring and ceilings. Jim Blansfield was an absolute pleasure to work with. Listening to everything I wanted to do with the project and making sure the end results were perfect is what makes Blansfield a far cut above the rest. Our project moved quickly and was accomplished on time. The renovation ended up winning several awards and also was displayed in local magazines. The project went so well that we hired him to renovate a farm house in Vermont. We just completed that project and again, seamless! I've passed his name onto several friends and they have also been equally pleased. The quality of Blansfield's work is really superior to any multi million dollar builder that I have seen or worked with in the past. His integrity and strength of character are at the foundation of his work.
