Making people happy with their new home is what makes us passionate about the project and design. We love to come up with practical and functional design solutions, especially when we can play around with the layout of the house and propose new interesting design ideas.
Our services are tailored to encompass everything from the pre-construction stages of the project (planning permission, building regulations) through to the interior design and detailed interior decoration (furniture, soft furnishing, accessories), to the site coordination, ensuring that the design is implemented correctly by the building team.
We are a small team with over 25 years experience. We are super friendly and always on top of the things. If you call our office you would speak with a designer straight away. We always listen to the your ideas and work together to create your dream home.
We love to to create minimal but warm interiors. Rather than following the trends, we stay loyal to the basics of our own style, adapting it to your needs. But at the same time, we are always up to trying and discovering new ideas.
Although specialising in interior design and refurbishment projects in central London, Ardesia has also completed a number of projects abroad, including Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Luxembourg and India.

Ardesia Design was recommended to me by a friend of mine and I ended up hiring them to work on several of my refurbishment projects.
At the beginning, I contacted Laurence Rouveure as I needed a designer who could help me redesign my house in Canton de Vaud, Switzerland. I have seen in their portfolio that they have already completed few Projects in Switzerland and was happy to proceed with someone who had the experience. I met with Laurence in the house to go through my initial thoughts and project goals, after which I was presented with a full design package and floor layout options. We changed the layout of the entire house, creating a large open plan kitchen and dining space, a large en-suite dressing room from one of the bedrooms and a special room to store my artwork. As for an art collector, it was very important for me to have a good lighting in the house, that would create focal points around the artwork and antique furniture pieces, that I had. I liked that the design of the house was kept light and minimal, making the art to stand out. Laurence has also fully designed the new kitchen, which was shipped directly from Italy. Bathroom design with limestone tiles and cleverly hidden storage collected a lot of compliments from our guests and visitors. After the refurbishment has been completed the house looked exactly how I have imagined it.
After a successful Project completion in Switzerland, I hired Ardesia Design to work on my London apartment in Battersea. I bought a new apartment adjoining to my existing flat and needed help to refurbish the new space, as well as to connect both of the flats together. Again, the layout of the flat was altered completely and Ardesia Design helped to obtain all the required council permission before the start of the works The design proposal I received had a combination of various materials and finish, that included light wooden floor, blue cement tiles in the kitchen with patterned tiles on the kitchen splashback and beautiful almost fabric looking patterned tiles for the bathroom floor, which all looked very nice and even subtle together, completely not overwhelming, so my artwork could still stand out. The feature I like the most in this apartment is the bespoke crittall glass partition between the living room and the kitchen. Very happy with Ardesia's job and the job of all their contractors.
After being extremely pleased with those jobs and feeling very comfortable working with Laurence and the team, as it felt like they knew exactly what I needed, I asked them to help me with the office design. Laurence helped me to furnish reception and lounge area in the office in Luxembourg and also provided a full FF&E specification for a 4,000sqm office space in Bangalore, India. Laurence also flew to Bangalore during the works to project manage for the implementation of the design, liaising with local contractors and engineers.
I cannot fully express how happy I am with the outcome of all those Projects, Laurence and her team are great professionals and can handle any job thrown at them. I can highly recommend Ardesia Design.

We hired Ardesia Design to help us to refurbish an apartment in Chelsea, but then we were so pleased with their work that we asked Laurence to help us redesign our new family house in Chelsea as well. The team was very professional and great at understanding exactly what we wanted. They come up with a perfect design scheme, that fully reflected our favourite style, which is a modern classic I guess. Both Projects went very smoothly during design and construction stages. Ardesia Design recommended us a team of builders, that they work with quite often, and managed them on site during the works, so we did not have to worry about anything. We still have a good relationship with the team at Ardesia and if we need any help with little bits and pieces in the house Ardesia or their builders are always happy to help.

We have worked twice with Ardesia. Laurence & her team first simply helped us organise a quite basic repaint job of our house in Notting Hill, but we liked them so much, both as people and in terms of their style of work, that we chose them again when we did our kitchen extension. Ardesia did a great job from helping with the planning permissions, through advising on kitchen cabinets and all details, to bringing it all home to completion. They fully grasped the look we were aiming for and the finished kitchen is better than we imagined.
We are very happy with the work they did, as well as how they did it, and would happily pick them again for any future work at our house.

We found Ardesia Design on Houzz and decided to get in touch as we liked their style. Our Project involved a complete layout change and new structural work. We were pleased that Ardesia Design could help us with all stages of the project from proposing a full interior design scheme to submitting a planning application and liaising with the council, builders, structural engineer and others.
Ardesia Design has provided us with the design proposal quickly and we were able to start the works as soon as the exchange was done. We enjoyed full involvement in the design process and could always indicate our design preferences and ideas which the team was able to incorporate. Laurence Rouveure helped with a full refurbishment of my 110 sqm Chalet apartment in Gsteig, Switzerland. It was very important for me to make the interior look soft and cosy, and this was fully achieved. Laurence sourced new wooden flooring, a custom-designed Italian kitchen, furniture and all the soft furnishing for the flat. She also helped to oversee the building team to make sure that the Project was finished on time. Overall very happy with the end result!

Such a wonderful experience !
Working with Ardesia Design was a real great experience ! I asked Laurence Rouveure to work out on the complete and full decoration of my new flat in Paris: she set up several rooms of furniture and textile perfectly. Moreover she was able to propose a different approach combining the respect of historical elements such as the old wood floor with modern and original elements and pieces. She respected the time frame perfectly so I was able to enjoy my new living place right on time. I would definitely recommend to work with Laurence.
