McKenzie Interior Design offers a full range of home and business design options, and we pride ourselves in taking your project from inception to completion. With his corporate background as a CEO of a Berkshire Hathaway company, Steve brings his expert eye to your project from overarching goals to the minute details. Having always been in design, first with Sherwin Williams creating paint palettes for geographic regions to product design with Lee Wards and then Larson Juhl picture framing, Steve is also an accomplished artist, specializing in abstract expressionism and loves to use vintage ephemera in his paintings to tell the story. His artwork is the jumping off point for his fabric line, capturing the painterly quality via digital printing.

It's been my pleasure to work with Steve and Jill McKenzie since they opened their wonderful retail showroom in the Westside Design district. I've placed Steve's distinctive, abstract paintings and works on paper with New Mood Design's clients when designing their homes. They also exhibit and sell works by other contemporary artists in their showroom; I've purchased these also as well as a rich variety of furnishings, custom pillows and accessories. Steve and Jill offer creative and professional goods and services to the design community.

I am a huge fan of Steve MacKenzie and his wife Jill! As a design professional, Steve has an extraordinary eye for design, color, and balance. This is exhibited not only in his fine artwork yet as a talented interior designer as witnessed in the two rooms he's most recently created for Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Holiday Houses. Personally, I worked with Steve to furnish my patio and found the Grange furniture collection he recommended to be an outstanding choice! Steve and Jill were most accommodating of my needs and followed through on the order with utmost efficiency keeping me informed along the way. I also love shopping their retail store and have found many itms over the years from unique jewelry, quality kitchen accessories, beautiful purses and home accessories. They have the ability to find items that are unique and of such wonderful quality. A great source for hostess gifts and presents for any occasion.

Steve McKenzie worked with us this past fall on a master bedroom wing renovation, including the relocation of our first floor laundry and a complete redesign of our master closets. The scope of this job included cabinetry design and lighting, tile, stone, paint, wallpaper, hardware and carpet selections. We are thrilled with every aspect of this finished project, and Steve was a pleasure to work with.

I purchased four beautiful chairs for my living room and a dining table from Steve McKenzie's. The chairs were of a special order linen fabric with Steve's signature square button on them. They turned out better than expected. The fabric was delivered early and the chairs were completed ahead of schedule. McKenzie's kept me updated on their progress during the whole process. I also purchased a Grange dining table from McKenzie's. It has quickly become my all time favorite table. It's gorgeous! While Steve McKenzie's has beautiful and unique furniture, art, and décor the best part about dealing with them is their professionalism. It is so difficult to find designers who are creative while being professional, friendly and honest. They are all that and more.

I have worked with Jill and Steve McKenzie on several projects in my house. They are absolutely delightful to work with. I appreciate the thought they put into each project as well as the promptness in getting it completed. Last year I had a hard deadline to get four rooms done before my daughter's wedding and was so pleased to have EVERYTHING in place. I know they went out of their way to accommodate me. My outdoor areas look spectacular since Steve has worked his magic by blending new pieces with refurbishing existing ones. The art Steve chose to complement my interiors has made a huge difference in each room and so exactly mirrors my taste. I need to keep a stack of his business cards at home because I am always sending friends to him! My three daughters have visited Steve for help with their first apartments. Each has a distinctive style yet Steve and Jill have helped them select the perfect pieces to fit their personalities.
