What shall I put on this wall?
Comments (4)You could do a bench with a top that opened for storage. This way family & guests have a place to sit and take off their shoes or boots when entering. You could also put hooks on the wall above the bench for a place to hang coats or keys. A second option could be a sideboard or dresser. This would also provide storage and you could put decorative accessories on the top of it and hang a nice picture on the wall....See MoreChange living room layout
Comments (4)Put the tv in front of the rear windows. Put the 2 seater in the middle of the room facing tv near fireplace. Coffee table between tv and two seater. leave the 3 seater on the same wall but closer to pianos current position. Put piano in suggested position. As for the bay windows a nice small round table with two chairs. A place to sit and have a drink and listen to music and look out the window...adds intimacy....See MoreMixing antique brass and polished chrome in the dining room & kitchen
Comments (16)What I'm actually wondering though is about mixing the metals - so having the chandelier and lamps with the touch of silver - or would I be better to source antique brass lamps like I have in some other rooms in the house - I kind of wanted to feature quite a bit of glass, and generally the glass comes with chrome, but I'm not sure if it's too modern for the sideboard etc, and mores worried about the clash of metals, but something tells me it might be ok in this instance! I have chrome taps and rainfall shower head in new bathroom and kept with antique brass for the light fittings and door/press knobs. Also yes the room is small but that's not an issue - it is what it is and I'm fine with it!...See MoreColour to paint sideboard
Comments (3)Lower the painting get rid of the tiny lamps and all the other stuff on top and then see what you want to do. I am only seeing the pic of your sideboard which I think is quite nice. Replace the lamps with either one on one side and something in apple green on the other side for balance or 2 larger lamps if you like symmetry , The painting should hang a little lower that 5’ to the center in a DR you could also go larger or a great mirror to give some life to that wall I am seeing another piece of furniture right beside that is it staying ? I would like to see a pic of the whole space....See MoreE D
