Shed I paint it a darker colour?

Hi, I’ve been umming and aahhhing for some time about whether to paint our shed a darker colour - either deep navy or very dark grey / black. I want to grow some climbers against it & think they’d look better against a darker colour but I don’t want to make a major feature of it as it’s just a shed! Also, the overall style of the garden is cottage garden so I’m not sure if a darker colour would suit? Ideally, I’d remove it altogether & put a summerhouse in but we need the storage so that can’t happen! Any thoughts appreciated!

Comments (15)We just painted a color called "Latte" over the dark red walls in our place and we keep thinking that someone left the light on! It adds that much light to the place as the red was just sucking out any light in the place. Find a color you like more for that wall and repaint...and/or maybe add a ceramic tile backsplash? 5 years agoA shed is a shed.....a big wooden box in the garden, but that’s no reason to not make the most of it. Paint in whatever colour makes you feel happy. I used Sadolin Superdec when I painted mine (click on pic for colour chart). I always wanted blue so went for Atlantic Blue but was very tempted by one of the greens. Well spotted Monica, I never even noticed the title:-)
