Painting two pieces of furniture - what colour?

We have just settled on a new colour to re-paint our sitting room - being F&B French Grey (which is very greeny rather than grey). This is the colour - but not our room!

We've picked the fabric for the new curtains being Studio G March Hare in Linen which isn't as grey as it seems here:-

We have two bits of furniture in the room that we want to paint. One is a small round side table, the other is an OKA campaign desk. We have previously painted the round table with F&B stone white, which is a green'ish colour and the campaign desk is a rather ugly dark brown. We want to paint both the same colour, which would "go" with the new colours in the room. This is the campaign desk, which opens up.

The carpet is a warm gold colour and the sofas & chair & footstools are a warm, nut brown. All the woodwork is white - including rad cabs, built in book case, doors skirting, windows etc. I can't take a photo at the moment.

I'm at a bit of a loss what colour to paint them. I've toyed with ochre, dark sage and mink brown, but they're a bit of a faff to paint, so I want to get the colour right. Would an off white look ok do you think?

The room looks really lovely and I really like your curtain fabric.

The F&B web site has some pale colours they match with french grey. Perhaps get some samples? The other alternative is their suggestion of Railings. Which may be nice on the desk.

I did SW color reading for fabric and got some colors to work with.

Lovely colors. You can go with any of them. I tried some. Or you go with some neutral color.

If you have a Lowe's nearby, take a look at the Pergo Driftwood Pine Laminate Flooring (top photos.) Even though it has a rustic, beach house feel, I love the color. It's a silvery/white/taupe (for lack of a better description) and that would be striking with your wall color, white bedding and black/brown bed. My other suggestion would be Brazilian Teak, (bottom photos) which is beautiful. It really depends on what makes you feel good and what you love living in! Christi for ThosBaker

Gorgeous sofas! Would you consider using the Thibaut print suggested by Judy G Designs in a soft fold Roman shade? You don't say how many windows there are in the room. But Straight edge on the bottom, outside mount, clean and simple. The print has enough activity.

How adorable is that fabric? My first thought was to match the furniture paint to that nice grey-beige of the hares. Or an off white like the dandelion hocks. It would look lovely against the green walls. Or maybe go a dark graphite grey? Or leave the dark wood finish as that will also look good with green. So many options! The pic below is F&B Purbeck Stone.

I would say the grey or a little lighter to go with the March hares.
