We were so lucky to already have a concrete slab, originally poured in the 1960's, which came up beautifully when ground back and polished. We finished the polished surface with a satin clear coating.
We have a polished concrete floor similar to this that we paid a fortune for & wondering if you think quantum quartz with some vein would be to busy on island. We were thinking of the michelangelo?
That would look quite lovely. Similar to our theme of carrara marble and polished concrete. Keep the colour and textural palette of materials between the two simple, and both elements will shine.
Cheers
