Advice on facade colours

Looking for advice on what to paint the front facade. I obviously don't like the colours atm.
Roof is colorbond white and trims grey. Window frames are white with black grills. Garage door is grey. We also have a picket fence out the front which is white. Planning to have a black door. Lights are black.

The colours I like are;
Lexicon (bright white)
Terrace white (very light grey)
Tranquil retreat (light grey)
Milton moon (mid Grey)

I am thinking either just paint the house all one colour like white.
Or do the entrance one colour and the rest another. Or another option is paint garage section, entrance section and window section (colour blocking).

With all of your skillion roofs you have quite a dynamic looking front elevation. But you aren't really looking for advice on colours, you are looking for advice on shades of white and grey, which are very conservative non-colours, and won't really do justice to your home. Why don't you engage a Dulux colour consultant or a colour professional to suggest some colours that may push your boundaries but will end up with a much better result, and a house that can't be mistaken for all of the other white and grey houses in your suburb. There are so many exciting options for the style of your home.

I would recommend creating a large contrast like working with a white for the trim and a deeper charcoal on the house. It will really pop.

I'm doing something very similar at the moment and I decided to go for a cold ivory colour with the windows divided into same size panels and a grey front door. The frames also have a foil finish that gives them a faux wood texture. I decided against the grey frames, as much as I love them, as I think they will probably date in the same way the pale green ones I see around have too.

Have just finished renovating a kitchen knock through and struggling with ideas on wall colour. Most of the cupboards are Pebble Grey (matt) and kitchen island is Kombu Green (matt). New space has French doors and a large window so loads of natural light in daytime. Worktops are Silestone Ethereal Glow.

If you do go for charcoal and grey, ( or something braver) I think your house would look terrific with some bold landscaping.

thanks for all the ideas and suggestions. I would like to have a light and airy feel and keep the main colour a light colour like white. All the houses in our street have a very traditional look to them so I think we are going to stand out anyway.
would be a good idea to see what a colour specialist says. would be nice to get away with finding a, solution without paying someone since I'm a tight Ass.
I could try Photoshop and muck around with some colours. I would hate to paint the columns then realise I don't like it

I actually had a thought that maybe if I drive around the neighbourhood I might find something similar and see what they have going on. Maybe get some ideas

Amanda, the trouble with photoshopped images is that you can't accurately match them with paint colours. Dulux alone has about 4800 colours, (with dozens of warm-whites, off-whites, cool-whites and neutrals) and only about 10% are available as sample chips from Bunnings.

Buying external paint, and then paying for the labour to paint is expensive, so you really want it to be right the first time. If you pay for the services of a Dulux colour consultant, which is less than $200, then some of the cost is reimbursed when you purchase Dulux paint, so it is actually quite cost effective in getting an accurate solution fairly quickly.

Playing around with photoshop colours, and trying to match them with paint colours will only work if you have "a close enough is a good enough" attitude. But I suppose if you don't value your own time in mucking around trying to match colours on your screen (which will look different when you print them out), and you want to save less than two hundred dollars then go for it.

Amanda, I agree with Dr Retro about using a consultant- the Dulux ones I have found to be great. Something else I've had success with is finding a house with a colour that I like that has a wall in a matching colour, and then working out the colour by holding swatches next to the wall.

I guess the real thing I want to know if I want to have the house all the same colour or just parts one colour and the rest a different colour. I think that's where I was going with the Photoshop. It may help with inspiration. I already know what colours I want to use. Just not sure where/what sections. (I put colours in the 1st Post)
Anyway just throwing ideas out there..
JE C some of those photos were inspirational I'm looking forward to doing the landscaping next. I particularly like the one I added below! Has a great feel to it. Makes me want to use stone on my house!

Sorry Amanda, I misread your original question. I would go for 2 or 3 different colors ( or treatments), picking up either the porch or porch and garage in a feature colour or different treatment and bearing in mind that the garage door colour is one of your 2 or 3 colors. Personally I would choose one of the colors as a strong or darker one, rather than all pale-ish colors. Maybe another option to consider is scion cladding for part of the facade? Stone cladding can look good but it's important to get the right type as sometimes it can look like a bit of an after thought.
