Originally two rooms, living and kitchen, dividing wall has now been removed, so it's one open area. Between chair and couch is door coming in from hallway, couch faces fireplace. So far I've only purchased these two pieces, and need advise on how to proceed with design.
Thank you for your comment, The fireplace looks so bare, originally there was a huge surround and I couldn't believe the size of the actual grate when it was all removed. I had wondered if I should have had the piece of granite hearth extended to the wall and built a narrow bookcase by the chair. I will definitely get a mantel. No tv yet, don't know where to put it,? There is a tv point in the corner to the left hand side of the couch, just under the window. Thanks again,
I like the pieces that you have purchased. I can see that floating the furniture in the centre of the space is not feasible so make the best of the room. Dress up the sofa area with curtains and a coffee table and matching pillows. A suggested look:
