Any suggestions for what colour kitchen goes with pale grey walls?

Hi,
Getting new kitchen and love the colour walls are currently soft grey, with cornicing in white. Any suggestions for what colour units would work well be great. Thanks g

Daylight on a rainy day in Ireland, ah. The easy thing to do is change the bulbs in the recessed fixtures to the maximum allowed. But this will not help with overall illumination because the recessed fixtures point straight down, not sideways. For that you need to add a surface mount or close to ceiling fixture, meaning new electrical work. Some recessed fixtures can be converted to pendants, by the way. Since it is so dark, I suggest painting the whole thing a nice bright white, including the laminate cabinets. There are many discussion posts on painting laminate cabinets on Houzz. I would paint the interior of the missing-doors cabinet with an oil based white paint, too, to brighten it up. Choose a white that coordinates well with the countertop, flooring and tile. The tile can be changed, of course, sooner or later. With some fiddling, you may be able to adjust the sagging cabinet doors under the sink. These are often much used. If the hinges have seen better days, replace them with identical ones, or swap them with less-used hinges, say from those upper cabinets you took down. It's an old house trick to swap worn parts with less-used parts from elsewhere. Most undersink cabinets can use a coat of white paint on the bottom shelf or Contact paper if paint is not suitable.

First before you think of putting grey on your walls take into account the light in your kitchen. Where do you live? Is it sunny most of the year? Is your sky grey 4 to 6 months of the year in the winter and spring? Grey can be very depressing when you are surrounded by it day after day. My vote is for white walls or a light color. You also have to take into account what the other rooms are painted that are open to the kitchen's sight line.

I'd hold off painting your table. Do all your painting first. I'm suggesting this because I think it helps to balance the room out to have some of that wood tone on the other side. A compromise would be to leave the top alone and paint everything else. Also. Get rid on any red accents, de-clutter the counter (so you can see your new backsplash and also get some pretty dishes in the blue/green color and put them in the cabinet with the glass doors. Also get new dish towels to hang on oven door handle. Please post some pics when you get done-excited!
