Hi Marie, I got this flooring for a client in 2007 from Scotts Wideplank Flooring on Baggots street Dublin. It is a walnut floor with a gloss laquered finish. Thanks for your comment. Grainne

Hi, I have a rich walnut gloss floor and it looks stunning with white & grey and brings a warmth to the room (You can get away with a darker walnut as well but mine is a mix of dark and more yellow tones)

providing engineered flooring is laid correctly it will not lift. It will move but not enough to notice anything which is why it was designed with a ply back. Tiles are best for spreading heat but they also cool down quickly. Engineered flooring keeps the heat for a bit longer. There is not much in this its more the look you want?

Hi Mogo, I found a nice laminate that looks like wood!! It's villeroy & boch flooring I think and it's a wide plank so it looks well. I went with the shade "moon". I'm going with a boost white tile in the kitchen/hallway/utility and the laminate in the living area. Good luck with your build!
