It’s a nice room, i think you need some pattern and perhaps an oversized plant. i’d try moving the chairs a bit closer together and add a side table for drinks, lamp etc. (you could also try swapping the chairs and sofa position).

If in budget, an oversized ottoman in linen in the curtain colour may work as the coffee table looks a bit lost. This is just AI but if you like it i’ll find another cushion to complement the patterned one

You can improve this room quite a lot without changing the furniture. I would move the small table away from the fireplace and centre it in front of the sofa, remove the lace runner, and place a bright bouquet on it instead.

Above the sofa, I would replace the small picture with one larger colourful artwork. Then I would pick two or three colours from that artwork and repeat them in decorative cushions on the sofa. I would also reduce the number of small frames on the mantel and keep only a few favourites so the fireplace looks less cluttered.
