Advice on colours/lighting for banquette area

Hi,

I'm trying to decide on colours and lighting for the banquette seating area. I want it to blend in with the rest of the room but not have it too matchy. I'd like to inject some more colour into this end of the room but not having it compete with the orange sofa. I can just do colours with the seat cushions or should I put some colour/wallpaper and funky lights on the wall?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. I've added some pics of the rest of the room for context.
I also have a large rug ordered for the sofa area.

I do think a darker colour behind the banquette would make it stand out more as the 1st pic but obviously 2 dark walls or a continuation of the navy would be too much. I’ve addded a wallpaper. As i tried getting most of the room in 1 shot AI made some changes! Here’s the actual wallpaper as it changed that too!

You could stick with the white walls though and art and lights to add colour

I’ve just realised I left in the art in the wallpaper version, a mirror could work, something curvy, not sure if a round one would fit

Mid grey/charcoal colour would make the pink look very chic and modern. It is also a great colour (we have it in our house) as its light enough that it doesn't show every crumb etc and dark enough to get away with not having to vac every day!

Either could be laid- you would need to use different adhesives on the wood or concrete though. There isn't much difference between- I would look for a reputable supplier and not online though as the decent quality may not be there. Any tiles can be laid on a diagonal if your tiler is good enough! Jade

www.visioninteriors.ie Looking at your curtains and curtain pole, in my opinion it is the pole that initially needs to be corrected - it is a nice steel pole,however the importance of a pole being fitted correctly makes a huge difference to the hanging and look of the curtains. the brackets at each end of the pole should be at least 8"/20cm away from each sides of the window, this allows the curtains to frame the window nicely while letting in as much light as possible. The brackets should be 2"/5cm away from the finial ( ball end in this case) at each end of the pole. The space between the bracket and the finial (end of the pole) has one curtain ring only and the rest of the curtain rings/hooks are the window side of the brackets so that the curtains can hang straight. Whether you buy new curtains or hold onto your existing ones check out the fitting of the pole and remedy it - you will be amazed at the difference this can make.

I would have a framed mural on the wall behind the seating. That way you can change the design if you tire of it and you wouldn't be wallpapering a full wall. Lots of beautiful murals to choose from

I'm intrigued by the AI imagery as it seems to be applying a 'warm' filter. I've never used it, (I could see how addictive it could be) but is this the case? I only mention it because I'm obsessed with lighting and find LED lights so hard to get right. Anyway, I love Minnie's suggestions and I second some depth behind the seating area. A deep chestnut brown would be nice.

it seems to apply a filter the more changes you make, It doesn't seem able to cope with multiple instructions initially so you then end up making x number of changes, the more you do and it feels like it has carte blanche to do what it wants!

I’m having to choose paint colours from afar and only had a photo of the north facing bedroom so asked it to turn that room to south facing which seemed to work and it adjusted the carpet too!
