That's completely normal - kandla grey is natural Indian sandstone, so every slab varies. You'll get streaks of buff, gold and even that warmer brown running through the grey, and it's actually one of the reasons people choose it over porcelain that looks identical tile to tile. The variation is part of the character.

Two quick checks just to be sure: was it sealed after laying (can bring out colour more strongly at first), and is the brown patchy throughout or concentrated in a couple of slabs? A little here and there is just the stone. If it's isolated to slabs from one delivery, worth comparing against your supplier's sample.

But from the photo, this looks exactly like kandla grey doing what kandla grey does.

Hi Emily, this is actually pretty normal with Kandla grey - it's a natural stone so there's always going to be some variation in colour and shading between slabs, that's part of the look rather than a fault. It can also look more brown/patchy when it's newly laid and still drying out or if it's not been sealed yet, then evens out a bit once it's fully cured and weathered in. Worth giving it a proper clean and a seal (if you haven't already) as that often helps even out the tone. If it's really uneven though it might be worth asking your supplier if the slabs came from different batches, as that can cause more noticeable colour differences too.
