I'd hold off painting your table. Do all your painting first. I'm suggesting this because I think it helps to balance the room out to have some of that wood tone on the other side. A compromise would be to leave the top alone and paint everything else. Also. Get rid on any red accents, de-clutter the counter (so you can see your new backsplash and also get some pretty dishes in the blue/green color and put them in the cabinet with the glass doors. Also get new dish towels to hang on oven door handle. Please post some pics when you get done-excited!

A15) @Dara Cooke: If you can't afford a quartz or granite worktop from day one then I would recommend using a laminate worktop as a temporary solution. If you don't put tiles up as a backsplash then replacing the worktops can be relatively easy in a couple of years.

For an overall sense of a dramatic colour change I'd suggest using Crown paints room painter app. It wouldn't be accurate for exact shade like a tester pot is but it might give you the confidence to make the change! Take a good photo of your room and try it out. It can be tricky to use when there are lots of items you don't want to paint e.g. kettle, so best clear any clutter first. Hi all, currently repainting house. I'm struggling with kitchen. Walls have just been painted Recollection by Colourtrend and Cabinets due to be painted Stonework by Colourtrend. Really confused as to what colour island should be. Kitchen has creamy/light brown tiles and the countertops are walnut. Maybe I went completely wrong with Recollection on walls....? Appreciate any advice!
