The cushion covers get lost in the colour of the sofa. They need more of a contrast. I’d be looking at an orange to stand out.

You could play it safe by choosing cushions in cream or grey to tie in with your rug but if your wanted more of a contrast then ochre or gold might look good. Are you considering changing the wall colour too?

Perhaps a feature wall where the window is, would break up the heaviness of the dark green by adding a softer green.
Add a piece of art on that wall with the fan.
Add a 3rd colour to the soft furnishings, one with a colour that pops out, like mustard with an abstract pattern other.
Add ornaments books to the coffee table instead of a runner, to give a more contemporary look.
The picture below is just a simplified alternative to your existing layout. Don’t be afraid to add more layers of colours subtly to rug or flowers. Hope that helps? 😊

I would go one step further and paint all the walls in that green. I'd get rid of the floor lamp and get a more lux one in gold or mustard to connect with the cushions. Hide the air conditioner with a wall treatment, and hang a chandelier from the middle of the room above the coffee table. Find a printed bench, ottoman or chaise in the mustard colour to place on the fourth side of the coffee table. And fill the room with lots of potted plants! :D
