Hi everyone!
I’m looking for some advice on a lighting decision in my kitchen-diner. The space has a clean, modern feel with white walls, silver cabinet handles, chrome light switches, and glass pendant lights over the dining table. There’s a rustic wooden table that adds warmth, and lots of natural light from the patio doors.
I’ve been thinking about swapping out the current pendants for the Dunelm Dusk 9-Light Adjustable Chandelier, which has a brass finish. I love the look of it — it feels elegant and would make a bit of a statement — but I’m unsure whether the brass will clash with the chrome and silver finishes that are already in the space.
Would mixing metals here look intentional and stylish, or a bit mismatched? Has anyone else tried introducing brass into a mostly chrome kitchen, and how did it turn out?
Ideally I’d like a glass chandelier type of thing instead of the pendants but with a black iron frame rather than brass, save introducing another metal but I just cannot find any!!
