Storage space is limited. The small carpeted room may make fitting a dining table challenging, though a foldaway table could work if there’s enough room. The existing sofa is quite wide—if you plan to replace it, compare sofa depths carefully, as many models are deeper than they look. Choosing a narrower yet comfortable sofa could free up valuable space. A long sideboard would be useful for storing dining and family items. To finish the look, add a few side lamps to define the area and, if space allows, a small rug beneath the dining table.
It's a very brown and beige room, crying out for a splash of colour (and storage). For a cosy feel use layered lighting, a rug, cushions and throws. New curtains and blinds will also help.
