I think a dark grey, almost black wood would look great in this space! It would really add a moody vibe to the space. I think this would also look dead elegant and luxury.

Mid-brown oak is the way to go I think. It's timeless, easy to live with and adds warmth.

I would go with plank design rather than parquette, but I't just my preference.

It might work well with your space depending on the vibe you're going for.

If you're not sure about this one something try finding something a little bit less knotty. :)

If you're looking to break the modernity of this space this floor should be fine then.

Yes - it's easy to get burried under the heap of samples and get one's brain to melt ;)

At some poiint you just have to say stop and chose from what you have already collated.

If you're after adding a more lived-it warmth to your home, and it will be carried throughout, this floor should work well :)

I think it would help to see the samples you’re considering, placed on to of the worktop. Then you’ll see how well they go together, I realise the floor and worktop don’t actually touch but in my opinion it will help us to advise. I think the oak LVT you have photographed is too yellowy.

Thank you @Betty Boo, I’ve attached some samples, I think there’s just too much choice and that makes the decision even harder. If we don’t make up our minds soon we won’t get it done in time for Christmas!

Sorry to ask again but can we see your samples propped up in a line leaning against your unit doors, in the best light possible. And a photo of your worktop.

Just realised how they look in different lighting!

In the photo you sent when they were grouped together, they all looked quite grey but now you’ve propped them up against your door they do look very yellow. Both your worktop and the cashmere door are saying grey to me. Would you agree? If so then I think you should take off one off the drawer fronts and go back to the supplier to try it against some of the grey LVT samples in the shop. Take them outside into the daylight too. I don’t think you should rush this choice, a new floor is for life not just Christmas! 🤭

Just be careful not to ovedo the greys. I had a feeling you wanted a floor that would break the contemporary feel of the kitchen?

Go with what feels right to you.

I think browns translate way better into cosy homely feel than greys, so it's really about your feel more at home with.

And if you end up feeling like the new floor might be a bit too yellow - don't panic. Give it a little time and look into changing the lighing temperature or putting something very yellow in the space so you see how very little yellow it is. ;)

It's the same thing as with whites when you look at a color swatch and it just seems white. But when you put it next to something pure white only then you see that your swatch wasn't white at all.
