Do you need a window covering for privacy issues? If not, then I'd leave it as it is. Hang some art/wall-hanging on the wall to create a more stylish space.

I agree with CWD, I don’t think it needs anything at all. The frosted glass gives an element of privacy already.

Thank you. It would not be for privacy, but the street light which shines in.. The plan is to paint a dark colour on the wall around the window but would no window soft furnishing, might look odd?

You Can :

1. Add a Light-Filtering Window Film (Over Frosted Glass)

2. Use Tinted or UV-Reducing Window Film

I would have suggested a roman blind but it doesn't look like the ceiling/window arrangement would allow it to be mounted high enough. A simple roller blind would take up the least room when rolled up.

Your staircase, as it is, is bright and airy and those two windows are a lovely feature in themselves. In my opinion it would be a shame to cover them up in any way. How annoying is the street light shining in?

We had curtains, and removed them, and the light just flooded in and looked nicer. However, the street light is not harsh, but enough brightness, to have to close the bedroom door. The plant helps to block some of the light. I could put a rroman blind but would need to fit a strip of wood across to fix it in. I love OKA style but they don't do blinds.

Thank you Minnie. Will check it out. About the framed prints? The left of the square window is right up the top corner of the house and will be missed. Just wondered if you meant to the left of the round window? They will be visible then from the entrance hallway.
