Lighting on my landing
Comments (2)I am afraid I am quite unable to tx photos on to computer. The landing is 1.75 metres wide and 6.75 metres wide with 7 doors off it. At present I have wired it for two ceiling lights and two lamp plugs but I am now wondering should I include two wall lights for soft light. Have to decide for my electrician!! Comments (36)I would also definitely go white if the windows are on the green wall. Will be much more natural to tie the accent wall with the stark wht contrasting walls. Always a very chic contemporary look. Also very relaxing as opposed to the treatments standing out when you already have your standout feature- the green accent wall. Great white bed you ordered! Then I love all the blue/green/ silver accent advice. I did a similar room in purples/greys/ whites and we used great posted prints of florals with a little oriental flair in nice big mats w frames. You could do florals or nice big botanicals in greens would be very fresh and modern!! White or silver frames or maybe even the shock of black would be cool....See MoreWhat colour curtains or blinds

By hanging ceiling to floor drapes and sheers for both the window and the sliding glass door you are bringing the focus back into the room. Installing tie-backs will allow for privacy and light....See MoreGravel driveway for 1930s red-brick!
Comments (3)We are having the same dilemma, albeit we have a 1913 Edwardian red brick house. I've bought a dozen bags of gravel and still haven't found the right one. The golden gravel looks terrible, greys look depressing and pinks jar too much with the red brick! We are leaning towards Cotswold stone but I'm concerned this is too traditional (the rest of our landscaping is contemporary). I've concluded I don't like gravel but having spent £££'s on the rest of the landscaping gravel is my only option. Sorry I can't be helpful but sometimes it's nice to know your not the only one having a dilemma!...See More- 2 months ago
