Resolving a load bearing wall issue

Hi there

I am purchasing a property where I wish to adjust the layout.

The surveyor has advised that the L shaped wall between the living room and study is solid brick and likely load bearing of the roof.

The result of the walls is that they take a large chunk out of the living room renedering it largely unuseaable. especially give the door location and where a sofa would be placed.

Is it viable to RSJ the corner such that it can ve remived or even the impaft lessened? I appreciate a structural engineer would need to calculate this but would be good to get some steer as to whether its even possible.

Thanks
