Hi everyone
I am in the process of purchasing a new home which is driven by its fantastic location and excellent plot, which is very difficult to find in the area.
The ground floor has a very strange feel to it where:
1. There is a room in the centre of the home - it feels un-natural and ruins the flow of the home
2. The living room is restricted by a "missing" corner which prevents a standard furniture arrangement with TV in the corner (especially given the door placement).
3. The utility area has a lot of pockets of space and no flow
We are looking to open the corner of the room and also solve the problem of the room in the middle and the pockets in/around the utility.
We are open to completeley reconfiguring, however, it is an extended property so some of the internal walls will need to remain or be bridged with RSJ (if possible). We would ideally like the sink and cooker in the main part of the kitchen/diner too with an island.
We are open to removing the chimney breast where the kitchen is as it is no longer in use.
We accept that we might lose a reception room and would also consider lengthening the livingroom (or creating a nook in the kitchen diner) and even having a larger entrance hall.
Any help very much welcomed.
Thanks
