I am struggling to find a mirror for this corner cloakroom sink. Should it be a corner one? Should it just be flat on one wall or another? I don’t need it to be a cabinet as already have storage under the sink. What have other people done? Thanks
Sarah L's suggestion is mine also. However - don't discount a corner wall cupboard if you have space for one. In my experience, you can never have enough storage !! Smaller items and personal toiletries would probably be better above the sink than under it (especially as you age, and find bending low first thing in the morning a real challenge !)
Also consider a small shelf. There doesn't appear to be much 'putting down' space in your original photo - the basin area is quickly crowded with just two items ! Worktops of some sort are just as necessary in a bathroom as a kitchen.
Depending on your style/decor. You could hang different types of mirrors, maybe one big one on the left and two smaller ones on the right. Almost make a feature out of the corner
Having a light on one side and a mirror on the other could work, and help the room feel brighter. A backsplash behind the sink is also be a nice option to make it feel more integrated in the space. Here's an example from one of our bathroom renovations:
Hi, we have a frameless mirrored corner cabinet that we bought from Ikea years ago. I know you don’t need a cabinet, but a frameless one just blends into the wall. I’ve just looked - Ikea no longer does the cabinet, but there’s lots of others available that are similar.
