Void guarantee on AEG gas Hob !

Had a Quartz worktop and back splash with a AEG gas hob fitted. There is only 18mm gap from the back of the hob to the facing Quartz back splash and AEG says it is too close and therefore voids the gaurantee …has any body else had any issues like this ?

Yes , I thank you for your comment on the other post but I am now asking if anyone else had an issue with void Gaurantee , but thank you.

I think you need to be pragmatic. Gas hobs have very little to go wrong. The remote possibility you may possibly have an unexpected bill in the future shouldnt concern you more than the cost and the hassle of removing kitchen cabinets, moving them 3cm from the wall, replacing the work surface and likely the splashback.
