When we bought our home 20yrs ago priorities for work were made. The hall and staircase covered in Anaglipta only got repainted.Later we highlighted the stairs with spanish tiles on the risers and I love that. My preference would be to remove all the wall covering but thats an expense that may be unnecesary as its still in good condition and the Houzz community may have some inspiring ideas to use colour cleverly to make the embossed patterned walls, the dado and the handrail complement the tiles rather than ' fight them'I am now alone here now and trying to be careful with spending priorities. Some areas where I spend time, I look at a lot but thoroughfares..... hmmm?
