Hi everyone,
We’re mid-way through renovating our main bathroom and I’m really drawn to the look of oak bathroom cabinets. I love the warmth of natural wood, and oak seems to offer that timeless, spa-like feel that’s hard to get with gloss or laminate.
That said, I’ve heard mixed things about using real wood in a humid space like a bathroom. Some people say oak holds up well if sealed properly, while others warn it can warp or discolour over time. I’d love to hear from anyone who’s installed oak cabinetry in their bathroom—how has it held up? Would you do it again?
Also open to suggestions for finishes or alternatives that give a similar look but are a bit more forgiving maintenance-wise.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
